FENSA
FENSA (The Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme) is an industry certification scheme that aims to promote high standards in the glazing industry. It is a government authorized initiative that monitors building regulations compliance for window and door installations.
All FENSA registered installers are regularly assessed by an independent trade specialist. This ensures that high standards are consistently maintained and that all FENSA registered companies are up to date with the latest industry regulations.
When a FENSA registered installer or company installs new or replacement windows, they will issue a FENSA certificate upon completion. This proves that the installation complies with current building regulations, it has been registered with the local council, and is protected by an insurance-backed guarantee.
PAS 2030
PAS 2030 is a British Standards Institute (BSI) specification. It is designed to provide standards for installing energy efficiency measures (EEMS) in residential retrofit projects. Any installers who want to install EEM approved products under government-funded schemes must have PAS 2030 certification.
PAS 2030 accreditation covers a range of energy efficiency products including glazing (windows & doors), insulation, heating systems, and lighting. The current PAS 2030 standard has now been updated to meet the latest energy efficiency requirements. PAS 2030 will help to create more efficient homes across the UK.
